The original rdo installed version was python-neutronclient-2.3.1-2.el6.noarch and we tried to upgrade this to python-neutronclient-2.3.3-1.el6.noarch.rpm

I'm seeing the same thing. Bug seems to be:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/python-neu...

Need an RDO fix.

yum downgrade <the neutron packages you had installed> and restarting the metadata agent seems to work so far for us as a workaround until RDO upgrades their packages.

I build a 2.3.4 python-neutronclinet rpm,and test that can resolve this problem. http://www.linuxfly.org/post/715/ (python-neutronclient-2.3.4-2.el6.tgz)

Following solution worked for us.

Edit the following file on neutron node running neutron-metadata-agent

/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/neutronclient/client.py

Go to roughly line 113 in the file and find the below statement:

    self.auth_token = token

And insert the following lines below it:

    self.auth_tenant_id = None
    self.auth_user_id = None

Restart the neutron-metadata-agent service
