You need to check the compute service logs (enable debug logs in your compute node first). Also check whether the rabbit settings in nova.conf of compute server are appropriate.

have you setup ntp server, so that services over multiple machines can be synchronized. If not, setup ntp on controller node and compute node should synchronize time from the controller node.

I have same problem with cinder at Liberty release. I have installed chrony as a NTP-server but it not helped me. Why and what can to do to resolve the issue?
