i created a Vm instance with below flavor details,

Hard Disk : 20GB

RAM : 2048MB

vCPU : 2

Now i didn't attach any cinder volume. My question is if i want to resize the memory like hard Disk 20 to 40GB and RAM 2048 to 4024MB is it possible to resize in havana? Through command mode and Dash Board.

In my compute using KVM for virtual machines.

Regards, RHK

Yes RHK, resizing instance is supported on KVM (through both CLI and Horizon). You can check the hypervisor support matrix here [1] to check all the supported features.

AFAIK, in OpenStack, a volume cannot be resized, it can be 'extended' (meaning volume size can only grow; it cannot shrink)! Also, it seems that as of Havana, this supported via CLI only.
