allinone is installing openstack for us (fedora 19)

  1. what will be the dashboard user/password ?

  2. it decides on CONFIG_MYSQL_PW and KEYSTONE_DB_PW , KEYSTONE_ADMIN_PW, KEYSTONE_ks_PW etc. and they appear in the packstack-answers...txt file .

Are they replacable or the allinone is just for demo and not for development on a stable version in any case ?

The password on dashboard for admin will be the KEYSTONE_ADMIN_PW as your rightly said. These values are auto-generated, and you may change them to what you want.

Just restart packstack once you make the changes using your current answer file.

# packstack --answer-file myanswerfile.txt

1. AllinOne: can CONFIG_MYSQL_PW (from answer file) also be be changed in the answer file because I got error about it while running packstack --answer-file myanswerfile.txt 2. Does the packastack --allinone give an Openstack installation that is more than just a test system i.e can be used for a stable version development ( changing of python code and testing) or for that we need use Freeman to install Openstack or follow http://docs.openstack.org/havana/install-guide/install/yum/content/

MySQL is weird in the way that the password is stored in multiple locations. Hence, changing it in one place would cause packstack to fail because it sees various passwords. Your best bet would be to uninstall MySQL, remove its conf files and try again. And yes, packstack is excellent for development. It gives you an environment just as a manual Openstack installation would.

After you run packstack, the file /root/keystonerc_admin contains the dashboard username and password.

Also, if you source keystonerc_admin it will enable you to run the command line utilities without having to provide those credentials each time.
