I am trying to add new feature to bindep that would expose a new profile that documents the official python version of the current distribution.

This means only one platform/atom should be reported per distro-version, even if on that distro user could install multiple versions of python.

I am inclined to believe that we will want to have a generic label that would be shared across distros and not a composed ones that would be suffixed by distro name.

They are short enough to be used in more complex label filters. Only one would be defined per distro.
