I recently set up a devstack enviroment. I added a compute node but it isn't shown under the hypervisor list: http://prntscr.com/mk7jbu The compute node is shown correctly as a compute node. I don't know how to solve this because i would like to run instances also on this node,

Maybe someone can help me here with solving the problem.

Best regards,

Alex

Can you rephrase your question? Your current statement is that you added a compute node, but it's not present in the list, but the compute node is present, that doesn't make sense right now. Did you add a second compute node but only the first is visible? Have you checked nova-compute service?

Please answer all questions if someone tries to help ;-) Is the nova-compute service up and running on the new compute node? Paste the output of systemctl status nova-compute of the new compute node in your question. Is the nova.conf correct for the second node? Have you checked ip addresses?

This is the output of systemctl status nova-computeon the new compute node: https://hastebin.com/cayigikezo.rb

I can confirm that the nova.conf is correct and I have checked the ip addresses.

Can you also show openstack compute service list? Did you run the nova-manage discover_hosts and related commands? I'm not familiar with devstack, to be honest, so it could be something related to that.
