I'm trying to deploy openstack all in one node using devstack in CentOS 7.5 with 1 tb hard disk and 8gb RAM.I'm following the following documentation https://docs.openstack.org/devstack/latest (https://docs.openstack.org/devstack/latest/) .Following are the steps I have followed in breif

  1. $ sudo useradd -s /bin/bash -d /opt/stack -m stack
  2. $ echo "stack ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL" | sudo tee /etc/sudoers.d/stack
  3. $ sudo su - stack
  4. $ git clone https://git.openstack.org/openstack-dev/devstack (https://git.openstack.org/openstack-d...)
  5. $ cd devstack $ ./stack.sh

my local.conf contain following line

[[local|localrc]]
HOST_IP=192.168.16.62
ADMIN_PASSWORD=secret
DATABASE_PASSWORD=$ADMIN_PASSWORD
RABBIT_PASSWORD=$ADMIN_PASSWORD
SERVICE_PASSWORD=$ADMIN_PASSWORD

I'm getting the following error

You have problems downloading pip (done in ~/devstack/tools/install_pip.sh).

If I understand the code well, it tries to download pip with https://bootstrap.pypa.io/get-pip.py. Can you access this URL? Can you download get-pip.py and run it manually?

@Bernd Bausch Yes I can acess the site in browser.And while manually running manually is also showing the same error. (Commands used

  1. curl https://bootstrap.pypa.io/get-pip.py -o get-pip.py 2.python get-pip.py )

I mean can you access the URL from the Devstack server.

Perhaps it helps to install pip (version less than 10, and not 8) manually, then try again.

To install pip behind a proxy.

Off the cuff, I don't know whether stack.sh is able to do that. Again, try installing pip manually.
