Hi All, I have setup allinone openstack and is running fine. I added a compute node but when creating VM on compute node , IP is assigned to VM on dashboard but cant see when I use ifconfig command cant see there, I can see eth0 but with no IP. I have followed these reference:- https://docs.openstack.org/ocata/install-guide-rdo/neutron-compute-install.html (https://docs.openstack.org/ocata/inst...) and https://docs.openstack.org/ocata/install-guide-rdo/neutron-compute-install-option2.html (https://docs.openstack.org/ocata/inst...)

Please let me know if more info is required.

Instances get IP addresses via DHCP. By default, one DHCP server runs per network. Either the DHCP server is down or a network problem blocks DHCP.

openstack network agent list shows the DHCP server status.

Set the address manually and test connectivity to the router. Double-check ML2 config.

When I run this on compute node openstack network agent list

Get this error.

An unexpected error prevented the server from fulfilling your request. (HTTP 500) (Request-ID: req-994adcfb-232d-4f1c-b3b1-5e6285758a84)

I copied keystone_admin from controller to compute now i can see services, so I see only these two services running on compute. Linux bridge agent | dc2-openstack5 | Non | :-) | UP | neutron-linuxbridge-agent | Open vSwitch agent | dc2-openstack5 | None |:-) |UP| neutron-openvswitch-agent|

In ML2 folder , I only made changes in linuxbridge_agent.ini not in ml2_conf.ini , openvswitch_agent.ini and sriov_agent.ini as mentioned by above articles

When you get a 500 error listing Neutron agents something more fundamental than DHCP is wrong. Check the Neutron logs for clues.
