A few suggestions what you could check:

  • The OpenStack status of this instance
  • Neutron agent log and libvirt log on the compute node
  • virsh dumpxml | grep tap
  • If the TAP interface exists anyway

thanks for your syggestions,I have already check that, nova does not pass the interface to the xml file. and comapre with a normal instance's start log, this vm do not has network-vif-plugged,i don,t know why this happened.

I guess it also depends on how the instance was launched. It's possible to create a server without network connection, for example.

i am pretty sure that it has vnet at first, and the newly instance created in 10 days,do not has this problems.,but vm createed before 10days,all start without vnet.what can i do to figure how this happened?

You could use auditing to get a trace when it happens again in the future, but off-the-cuff I don't know how to set up auditing for operations on network interfaces.
