Hi! I am trying to boot an image with config drive and it can´t find the bootdisk, genisoimage is installed in controller and compute node, nova.conf mkisofs_cmd=genisoimage is present, restarted nova-compute to take effect.

What could I bee missing?

VMs without config-drive are created successfully.

Version: RDO Queens 1 controller node, 1 compute node

Thanks!!

How do you boot it? Can you share the command or the parameters, and the output of openstack server show?

Have you checked Nova’s logs?

Hi!

I found that is not working for ClearLinux, but working for CentOS7:

openstack server create --config-drive true --image CentOS7_Basic --key-name ckey --network nuonet1 --security-group any --flavor nuo.mini c7cdvm1

It seems I missed the UEFI properties in the ClearLinux image,

Missing UEFI properties in Clear Linux image, not related to config drive, will close now
