Diskless yes: Boot from volume support

RAM disk - I don’t know. Ironic does use a RAM disk for bootstrapping BM nodes.

I mean loading the OS to the memory instead of installing it in the local disk.

Installing OS to the disks are time consuming on the slower disks and Mellanox Infiniband/ Intel OPA drivers takes most of the time.

either load the OS on to the memory like livecd or clone the image to the local disk
