Storage and memory provided by openstack to vm

Hi, We are facing an storage and memory mismatch issue while creating an openstack VM

We tried creating an VM in openstack pike with flavour large ram 8 gigs and storage 80 GB However when we go inside the VM and run DF -h we get an storage space of around 30 GB ..why is that.. Please help

The operating system that runs on the virtual machine decides what to do with the disk. If it wants a 30GB filesystem, that's what you get.

The df command reports filesystem sizes. Check out disk sizes and disk partitioning instead. For example fdisk -l, or lsblk. Your image may use LVM - in this case check the sizes of physical and logical volumes and volume groups.
