is there any way to configure mail for notifications when vm deployment failed.

Hi guys, I'm thinking to implement the email configurations to get notify when vm deployment failed, so please help to get this done.

Is it there already Please share the details

You can’t configure it, but writing a shell script is simple. Poll your instances with openstack server list and send an email when any instance’s state is ERROR.

Thanks Bernd, But already I have did shells script with cronjobs. Now my question is need to get the mail notification when deployed failed.

Well, if monitoring the instance state is not the solution, what’s left is hooks (unfortunately deprecated) or listening to Nova notifications on the message queue, as explained in the two links above. For notifications, see also https://docs.openstack.org/nova/lates....

Thanks for the link, But I'm not looking for that. Still I'm working to get the mail notification. if done i will share the procedures and steps. If someone knows please share here. Thanks in advance
