I have a number of nodes that are running KVM virtual machines and I would like to manage them with OpenStack? How do I do this? Is it possible? Any help appreciated.

Cheers, Todd

OpenStack is not designed to manage existing virtual instances.

You can configure your existing hypervisors as OpenStack compute nodes, which will allow OpenStack to spawn new instances on these systems, but there is no way to making a running instance manageable by OpenStack.

If you want to move an existing virtual instance into OpenStack, you could shut it down, upload the corresponding disk image to OpenStack, and then boot a new instance from that image.
