Can Octatvia be used for SIP load balancing?

Hello, I am new to this forum. I am looking at the Octavia 2.0 API and docs, and it seems to me that it is mostly designed to handle HTTP/HTTPS.

Do you think it is possible to use Octavia for SIP load balancing? - I would write a new Amphora app that would look into SIP headers and distribute them to handlers. I only need a VIP so that traffic from different source IPs are distributed to evenly among several amphorae.

What makes me unsure is that the API requires an "url" in the "endpoints" lists, hinting towards HTTP. How can I specify simply an IP address as the endpoint? - My amphora app would handle all the L7 (that is, SIP) parsing and rules.

Thanks for your help, Zoltan B.
