Problem in disk partitioning of an instance
I am from Virtualization background and am new to cloud. I am trying to install Redhat 6.7 (through QCOW2 / ISO). I am trying to create 4 partitions:
/ /var /home swap partitions
Scenario1: When I try to launch QCOW2 redhat image, i dont find any option to change the partitioning at all. Is there a way to do it?
Scenario2: I am also trying to launch ISO version of the file hoping to edit kickstart file so that i can automate the necessary installation process.
My questions are as follows:
- Is there a way we can resize / partition once QCOW2 is being installed ? Any heat template i can refer to
- I have around 65 Virtual machines to be created, so doing it manually is a huge task for each VM.
Is there a way to ease the procedure.. any help on this ???
I am using Openstack Mirantis
cloudinit has a disk setup module you could check out: https://cloudinit.readthedocs.io/en/l...
