Ldap user login to VM

Users are able to login to dashboard with ldap credentials They are able to create instances and login to instance using "keys" How to make sure that users get login to new instance with ldap credentials? without using "key"?

Create those users on the instances or set up LDAP on the instance.

The former can be done rather effortlessly with cloud-init. I guess you can do the latter with cloud-init, but it would require a certain effort.

In a cloud, not only an OpenStack cloud, you often manage tens, hundreds, thousands of servers. You can't remember thousand different passwords, and you should not set up the same password on thousand servers. It's for this reason that you normally use keys to log on.
