Error appeared during Puppet run: IP_prescript.pp

Hello guys, I am new to OpenStack. I have been trying to install OpenStack on RHEL 6.5 following RDO quick start guide. It would be really helpful if you help me workaround this problem. Thanks. I am getting the above mentioned error while doing packstack --allinone If i need to provide any other details, please let me know Here is the terminal output:

Seems like your system cannot reach the epel repository and therefore cannot install required packages to continue installation. Hope this helps.

I had this exact issue.

Here was what I did to make is work.

I initially had the proxy set in my environment variables and I was getting this error. I moved my proxy setting to yum.conf and that solve the issue.

Steps to add proxy to yum.conf

vi /etc/yum.conf proxy=http://www-proxy.bbb.ccccc:4242 --------- This is an example, use your proxy here.

I did this for both the controllers and compute nodes and everything started working.

I removed on OSRH 13 the puppet with yum remove and updated yum and installed puppet again , also ran the yum openstack-packstack yum again and relaunched with packstack and answer file ... it's slow on my VM 5G RAM .. but still working ....
