On a fresh devstack installation, I am not able to run a single tempest test using testr. Here are the steps I followed:

$ cd /opt/stack/tempest
$ testr run --parallel tempest.api.compute.servers.test_servers_negative.ServersNegativeTestJSON.test_reboot_non_existent_server

Instead of getting a meaningful error message, I get some cryptic output that's way too long to print. I copy/pasted an extract of the error on a pastie.

Environment

  • OS: Ubuntu Precise
  • testrepository version: testrepository==0.0.18

This seems to be linked to an error in recent version of the subunit module. A bug has been filed in Launchpad to track resolution.
