I'm trying a multinode deployment with kolla-ansible, however when I try to pull image or deploy it always results in image not found - I am using Ubuntu 16.04 with the $DOCKER_OPTS settings in systemd

it seems docker is configured with an in secure registry, however the logs from the container complain the the responses to https clients are http

The answer is that setting up an insecure registry on Ubuntu is done by creating the platform independent config file daemon.json in /etc/docker and populating with the insecure registry

{
  "insecure-registries" : ["myregistrydomain.com:5000"]
}

then remove all other references to the insecure registry from /etc/default/docker & /etc/systemd/system/docker.serivce & /etc/systemd/system/docker.service.d/kolla.conf

the kolla docs are very frustrating
