Hi,

I am trying to do manual single node All-in-one installation of openstack. My server has only one NIC. I was wondering since my compute and controller node both are going to be on same server, do i still need to separate management network and provider network? Or I can just use that single network config with static ip address?

It’s not quite an answer, but have a look at https://ask.openstack.org/en/question....

But I would like to work with single NIC since all my services are going to be on single machine. Do i still need 2 NICs?

There is a blog series about installing OpenStack Liberty on hosts with a single NIC, using VLANs. The same principles can be used for Queens.

You could also follow single-NIC instructions for setting up a Devstack and study how it’s done.
