Dears,

I am trying to create an image from volume with below command. But it's throwing " 'NoneType' object has no attribute '__getitem__'" and the request getting deleted from queue. Appreciate your quick help!

image create --volume volumeidxxxx imagexxxxx

Below is the volume info

What I noticed is that volume type "None" is causing the issue. Volume with type "general" is working without any issue.

Try using below command openstack image create "image name" --container-format bare --disk-format=qcow2 --public --volume "volumeid"

Seems as its cloud image qcow2 format is more suitable for images
