Unable to configure Manila with Ceph

As the title says, I'm having some trouble configuring Manila to work with Ceph. I currently have a multi-node OpenStack installation (pike) which I installed with the help of OpenStack docs. Other than that, I have a ceph cluster where cinder and nova are already configured and working. I have two questions. First, would I able to configure Manila to run on cinder such as to abstract ceph from manila? For example: using the generic driver? I don't how this would be done but I imagine manila would call cinder and cinder would interact with ceph. Second, I'm trying to do what's in the first question, but I'm getting these errors in the manila-share.log, any ideas what this may be? I don't if this is manila related or neutron.

The supported way to use manila with Ceph is with CephFS and the manila CephfS driver as describe here [1].
