Hello there!

I want to configure persistent and high available storage for Hyper-V cluster and would like to consider to use OpenStack Cinder. In my vision of the scheme it will be like this:

  • 2 or 3 Cinder nodes ( (
  • 2 - N Hyper-V nodes
  • Hyper-V connect to Cinder storage by using iSCSI

When 1 of Cinder nodes goes down (power lost/network down/etc) the rest nodes still work and VMs on the Hyper-V as well. My question is is it possible?

Yes its possible ,we do have a similar setup and even if one cinder node goes down ,hyper-visors and VM's on it shouldnt get affected .
