Hello Guys,

I do have a working swift cluster with earlier configured with the tempauth authentcation. Now am planning to configure keystone for my swift cluster. i am a new guy with zero experaice in keystone. I do have scenario of the following:

Keystone IP = 192.168.1.50

Swift Proxy Node = 192.168.1.60

Well i am aware about the changes to be made in proxy-server.conf but i am really confused in adding the users in keystone for the swift or how a remotely lying keysone link with the swift. In Keystone i have created for sample users and tenants but i don't know how they are going to communicate with my swift proxy.

Currently i am following the http://docs.openstack.org/havana/install-guide/install/apt/content/general-installation-steps-swift.html and in the following session which IP should i give for the controller node? Could anyone sort it out for me?

# keystone endpoint-create \
  --service-id=the_service_id_above \
  --publicurl='http://controller:8080/v1/AUTH_%(tenant_id)s' \
  --internalurl='http://controller:8080/v1/AUTH_%(tenant_id)s' \
  --adminurl=http://controller:8080

# the service tenant and swift userid and password created in Keystone
admin_tenant_name = service
admin_user = swift
admin_password = SWIFT_PASS

Source: http://docs.openstack.org/havana/install-guide/install/apt/content/installing-and-configuring-the-proxy-node.html

This has to be similar to

 # keystone user-create --name=swift --pass=SWIFT_PASS  --email=swift@example.com
 # keystone user-role-add --user=swift --tenant=service --role=admin

Source: http://docs.openstack.org/havana/install-guide/install/apt/content/general-installation-steps-swift.html

Hope this answers what your looking for.

Thank You for you help brother, in fact i don't know which credentials has to be entered in --publicurl='http://controller:8080/v1/AUTH_%(tenant_id)s' I belive the "controller" in the above has to be the hostname of swift proxy and what should be added in AUTH_%(tenant_id)s' as tenant_ids. Is this right? Kindly help.

yes you are right, i would still suggest you to have a look at keystone doc for better reference. Your question has more to do with keystone in general than swift. :)
