Hi all, I used nagios to monitor the openstack in liberty include instances because the performance of ceilometer is too bad.

Now, I want to update the liberty to otaca and the number of physical machines will be increased. So I don't want to use nagios in future and want to use the more modern software. I research the recommend of openstack community and many of monitoring tools depend on nagios. I research the monitoring tools on the Internet and find two tools that I think are ok?

Open-falcon: Open-falcon is a tool that is developed by Xiaomi. It's monitoring model is like nagios with nrpe but is has HA and it is developed for large network traffic and large data. Many big companies in China have already used this tool to monitor their huge business system.

Prometheus: An open source monitoring tool is like google's BorgMon. Now Prometheus's community is very active, and it is easy to expand horizontally.

I think these two tools can be easily used in my new openstack, but the ceilometer in otaca seems to be improved performance.

Can you tell me what open source tool you use? Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
