I would like collect and process usage data (CPU, Ram etc.) for 30 days from Ceilometer module. Does ceilometer module collect and keep datas in MongoDB by default? Otherwise, Am I have to install MongoDB and write a script ? If it is not by default, how can I connect they ?

Starting with Ocata, the default backend is Gnocchi, and MongoDB is deprecated.

Yes, the backend has to be installed. MongoDB: https://docs.openstack.org/project-in.... Gnocchi: https://docs.openstack.org/ceilometer....

In both cases, the connection between Ceilometer and the backend is made with configuration options. No script is needed. MongoDB: https://docs.openstack.org/project-in.... Gnocchi: Since Ocata (?), the backend is configured in the pipeline.yaml file, see https://docs.openstack.org/ceilometer....
