vRouter does not forward multicast packet

I am using OpenStack Mitaka. I am running a VM which have a floating IP. The VM is generating multicast traffic (emulated with iperf) and another system outside cloud is trying to receive the multicast data. But the multicast data is not forwarded to the external network by the virtual router.

If I capture in the qr interface of vrouter, I can see the multicast packets but can't see the packets in the qg interface. Is there a way to configure vrouter so that it will forward multicast packets to the external network?

neutron does not route any multicast traffic, so no no multicast support out of the box for openstack.

Is there any manual configuration that I can do to enable multicast traffic routing?

you could try to use a combination of ovs igmp snooping with vlan and a correct configured tor switch, or whatever is your aggregation swtich.

igmp snooping won't work with vxlan/gre
