I a pip install of kolla 5.0.0 and kolla-ansible 5.0.0 and successfully deployed openstack using one control node and one compute node. Both node are running Centos 7.

I can not launch any instances and I these errors whenever I try to launch. I went ahead and just put all the log errors I get on both nodes below:

Mysterious "permission denied" messages always make me think of SELinux. Did you deploy Kolla on Centos or RedHat? When deploying OpenStack manually, one must take care to install the openstack-selinux package on those SELinux-enabled distros. I don't know how that works with Kolla, though.

I deployed on Centos 7 and Selinux is disable on all nodes. Not sure what the openstack-selinux package is you’re talking about but this error seems very ambiguous. Any other thoughts from anyone out there??

openstack-selinux puts the SELinux rules for OpenStack in place so that you don't have to disable it.

I have the same errors. Did you solve this problem?

Hi Nail, I did fix it! It was a bug I had to fix. Go to the link below and Apply these changes.

I made these changes you see in that link and then ran kolla-ansible -i multinode reconfigure and it fixed the permission denied issue for me.
