I just deployed openstack pike using kolla. I have a control node and compute node. Now I am using the dashboard to launch an instance using a snapshot I migrated over from my other openstack environment. I keep getting errors about it having no valid host. Since everything is running in containers how do I view logs for this so I can track down the error?

Below is my full output about the fault it encountered:

Please help me find a way to view the logs of services. How can I fix this? Where should I start?

Below is an error from the nova-conductor.logs:

Logs are located at /var/lib/docker/volumes/kolla_logs/_data/ . Once have more logs available please share.

Please add following info:

  • Distribution
  • Install type
  • Kolla release (tag, git hash, etc)

The scheduler is responsible for determining compute hosts for instances. Check the scheduler log.
