I run kolla-ansible prechecks -i multinode

and it always fails with this error below

TASK [prechecks : Checking docker SDK version] ********************************************************************
fatal: [openstackcontroller]: FAILED! => {"changed": false, "cmd": ["/usr/bin/python", "-c", "import d_when_result": true, "rc": 0, "start": "2017-10-23 19:56:56.998028", "stderr": "", "stderr_lines": [], "stdout": "1

fatal: [openstackcompute]: FAILED! => {"changed": false, "cmd": ["/usr/bin/python", "-c", "import docken_result": true, "rc": 0, "start": "2017-10-23 15:51:03.473204", "stderr": "", "stderr_lines": [], "stdout": "1.10

ok: [localhost]

you can see my local host is OK which but its complaining about my compute and controller nodes. What is the error saying? Is it saying my current version of the docker-ce is incorrect?

While I don't know much about Kolla, the output looks very incorrect, as if it included nonprintable characters like backspaces. Is the playbook corrupted?

I don't know....this is the play book created by kolla developers...why doesn't anyone know anything about kolla? I struggle to find help a lot.

Kolla is a relatively new project, with low maturity according to Perhaps the Kolla team doesn't visit Try one of the OpenStack distribution lists.

The playbook is very simple. My feeling is that the data it is fed is incorrect. Try increasing debug levels so that you see what exactly is happening. E.g. adding -vvv to the ansible-playbook command, using ANSIBLE_KEEP_REMOTE_FILES or adding debug statements to the playbook.
