While trying to run kolla-ansible to deploy the current release (Pike) using Docker hub registry, I'm getting this error:

Unknown error message: Tag 5.0.0 not found in repository

Indeed, when looking at, the last tag published is 4.0.0.

Has Kolla stopped publishing images to Docker Hub registry??

Images for pike 5.0.* release are not pushed to DockerHub yet. We cannot do it manually as we use to do before Ocata because is a decision of the technical committee to do not do it.

We are working in develop an automatic method to push images daily after passing CI test and ensure images are functional.

We are expecting to finish this soon.

...and this pipeline will continue to be used for Queens and subsequent releases, meaning that we will not need to run our own build pipeline?

Yeah, thats the idea. However, the images will not be guarantee to be working in all cases, for production is better build your own and use your own CI for test the user usecase. For support images, downstreams or vendors should provide tested images

1. You can use RPM packages

yum install centos-release-openstack-pike-1-1.el7.x86_64

yum install openstack-kolla-5.0.0-1.el7.noarch

2. Build your own custom images.

tag = 5.0.0-1.el7
base = centos
install_type = rdo

3. Set local registry

docker run -d -p 4000:5000 --restart=always --name registry registry:2

docker_registry: ""
