shared storage using cinder

i want to create a lun or volume in cinder which needs to be accessible from 3 diff vm. how can we do it. i mean all 3 vms should be able to write to it and mount it simultaneosuly.

As cinder mounts these as scsi devices to the instances, without cluster software in the OS that is aware of this function, it is not possible.

I suggest you use Manilla to do an NFS, or CIFS export. Then all three systems can share/access and modify at the same time.

When you create a volume, you can set the multiattach flag, but Nova doesn't support multi-attachment yet. See also this spec for Queens: https://specs.openstack.org/openstack....
