Hi i had upgraded openstack from liberty to mitaka, after that i had changed the configuration files according to mitaka release. So after configuring nova by editing nova.conf, i tried to populate the nova db it's showing some error.

  root@controller:/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/nova# su -s /bin/sh -c "nova-manage db sync" nova
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/nova-manage", line 10, in <module>
    sys.exit(main())
  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/nova/cmd/manage.py", line 1515, in main
    config.parse_args(sys.argv)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/nova/config.py", line 66, in parse_args
    options.set_defaults(CONF, connection=_DEFAULT_SQL_CONNECTION,sqlite_db='nova.sqlite')
TypeError: set_defaults() got an unexpected keyword argument 'sqlite_db'

This is my nova.conf file

[DEFAULT]
enabled_apis = osapi_compute,metadata
rpc_backend = rabbit
auth_strategy = keystone
my_ip = 10.0.1.11
use_neutron = True
firewall_driver = nova.virt.firewall.NoopFirewallDriver

[api_database]
connection = mysql+pymysql://nova:abcd@controller/nova_api

[database]

[oslo_messaging_rabbit]

rabbit_userid = openstack
rabbit_password = abcd

[keystone_authtoken]
auth_uri = http://controller:5000
auth_url = http://controller:35357
memcached_servers = controller:11211
auth_type = password
project_domain_name = default
user_domain_name = default
project_name = service
username = nova
password = abcd

[vnc]
vncserver_listen = $my_ip
vncserver_proxyclient_address = $my_ip

[glance]

Observation - I notice you have a mysql driver defined in the nova.conf and the error is sqlite_db. It seems like an inconsistency.

But in https://docs.openstack.org/mitaka/ins... this document they had mentioned to do so.
