Error while attaching volume to running instance

can someone suggest the solution how to rectify this issue before it was working i was able to attach volume to running vm not its showing this error.

=> openstack newton and ceph backend

Does cinder-volume.log reveal anything useful? Is cinder-volume service up? There are some Google results with your the message, also there has been a similar question already Which steps have you taken so far?

There is no log related to this error , cinder service is up and running. i have not found any useful information with the available solution.

if there is any other solution or is issue with hypervisor.!

You need to provide more info, which hypervisor, what have you checked/done so far, can you attach the volume manually (without openstack inbetween)? The ceph backed instances run but volumes are not available? Is your cluster healthy? There's too much to guess with your little information

This is probably related with ceph authentication issues. nova-compute access ceph cinder-volumes pools to attach the disk.

There was a change in Ocata version that is related to that:
