Hello,

I am trying to launch instance via terminal but when I set the below command

" openstack security group rule create --proto icmp default"

then I get the the message "More than security group exists with the name default".

After that I run the command openstack security group rules in order to check the groups and unfortunately I deleted the icmp ID. How to recover ICMP on ubuntu 16.04?

I have set up openstack newton from the link below.

https://docs.openstack.org/newton/install-guide-ubuntu/launch-instance.html#add-security-group-rules (link text)

Thanks, Costas

Did you delete the ICMP rule from a security group? If so, just recreate it. openstack security group rule create --proto icmp RULE_UUID.

But I am not sure if I understand what you mean by "deleted the ICMP ID".
