Hello to all,

I have followed the newton installation on Ubuntu 16.04 https://docs.openstack.org/newton/install-guide-ubuntu/ (https://docs.openstack.org/newton/ins...) and I try to create network on dashboard with no success. the error that we get is below:

" Invalid service catalog service: network"

Do you have any idea on this?

Thanks, Costas

Looks like you made a mistake when creating the neutron endpoint. Is the Neutron network endpoint available when issues openstack catalog list? Should look something like this:

Openstack catalog list

<snip>

| neutron | network | RegionOne |
| | | internal: http://<url>:9696/ |
| | | RegionOne |

Hello ppeereb1,

It seems that we have the same output.

Is it a wrong paste or is neutron network defined twice(first line)?

Yes, so that is probably the issue. Is the service defined twice?

openstack service list

delete the unused service: openstakc service delete <id>

Hi ppeereb1,

Thank you so much for the help.

The mistake was when I created the neutron service ,I created more one service. So as you said me, I ran openstack service list to check the services and then openstakc service delete <id> to delete the services that I don't need.

Thanks again,

Costas
