'sata' is not supported by the 'kvm' virt driver

Hello All,

I am seeing the following in the /var/log/nova/nova-compute.log when trying to start an instance on a compute node: 2017-08-29 13:52:50.443 1665 ERROR nova.compute.manager [instance: 888ffec1-199a-4b0d-b3ab-356672ab6893] UnsupportedHardware: Requested hardware 'sata' is not supported by the 'kvm' virt driver

Unfortunately, this image I am trying to launch needs to use sata. I used "glance image-update --property hw_disk_bus=sata <image_id>"; is there something else I need to do to enable sata support for this image? Launching the instance isn't a problem using a basic qemu/kvm setup on a RHEL 7.4 workstation. This is on a RHEL 7.4 machine running OpenStack Ocata.

Any help is much appreciated!
