I am trying to configure Openstack on my system Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, while installing keystone I am getting an error related to SQLAlchemy as follows:

Preconfiguring packages ... Selecting previously unselected package keystone. (Reading database ... 215275 files and directories currently installed.) Unpacking keystone (from .../keystone2012.2.3+stable-20130206-82c87e56-0ubuntu2~cloud0all.deb) ... Processing triggers for man-db ... Processing triggers for ureadahead ... Setting up keystone (2012.2.3+stable-20130206-82c87e56-0ubuntu2~cloud0) ...

sqlalchemy.exc.OperationalError: (OperationalError) unable to open database file None None dpkg: error processing keystone (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

I searched and found out that the path to SQLite should be defined but I'm not sure how to do that. I have already installed Python-MySQLDB and MySQL-server. Kindly provide some pointers on how to resolve this issue.

Can you run "apt-get update" once and then try the keystone install again?

Also have you configured mysql to accept all incoming requests: sed -i 's/' /etc/mysql/my.cnf

Sql alchemy only support previous package during installation so do not upgrade your ubuntu OS package...
