Subj: Bug 1408314 - memcached.service results in Unknown lvalue 'MemoryDenyWriteExecute' in section 'Service'

There is a fix to upgrade memcached version 1.4.39 posted three days ago. The fix was posted to RDO testing repositories.

How do I enable RDO testing repositories and pick up the fix for Ocata Release ?

I am new to RDO process. Would you please show me the steps to pick up the fix and test on my machine for Ocata Release ?

Best Regards,

# yum install yum-plugin-priorities -y
# curl -o /etc/yum.repos.d/delorean-ocata.repo
# curl -o /etc/yum.repos.d/delorean-deps-ocata.repo
# yum -y update

As soon as your package would pass CI . You would be able install it via yum -y update

Hello, Thank you so much for your help. I followed your instruction and I saw memcached is updated to version 1.4.39 in yum.log. I am using Centos 7 for controller node. I rebooted and still could not launch memcached with errors below: [/usr/lib/systemd/system/memcached.service:65] Unknown lvalue ' gravatar ( 2017-08-08 10:57:18 -0500 )edit

More errors messages: [/usr/lib/systemd/system/memcached.servic e:72] Unknown lvalue 'RestrictNamespaces' in section 'Service' [/usr/lib/systemd/system/memcached.service:65] Unknown lvalue 'RestrictRealtime' in section 'Service' [/usr/lib/systemd/system/memcached.service:56] Unknown lvalue 'Protect gravatar ( 2017-08-08 10:59:18 -0500 )edit

Would you please guide me to what to try next to bring up memcached.service ?

Just check was it done via yum update or no. If no escalate to bugzilla.

Hi there,

I use above link "" to build multi nodes from scratch. I run packstack on the controller node. Do I have to run packstack on the compute node ?
