Hi folk,

I'm facing an issue and I would like an insight from you about this.

This is what I have:

  • Openstack Ocata with Neutron installed on Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS over Vmware Esxi 6
  • 1 controller node, 1 compute node, 1 block storage node
  • Each of them with 8 Virtual CPUs + 32GB RAM + 500 GB disk

Everything is working fine but. I've created an image with Centos 7 minimal and it is running very very slow. I am not sure if the reason is that the hypervisor is qemu instead kvm or is there any tuning I have to do to the hosts servers?.

I checked use of resources on compute and controller node and is very very slow. Also this is the only one instance I've created to test our Proof of Concept environment.

Thanks for your help.

Alberto

Hope that you have nested virt enabled on the respective VM?
