Is there any tool or script to take snapshot for cinder volume periodically for Backup purpose. I dont prefer creating nova backup and it will get uploaded to glance as image . Is there any other way to take backup regularly.

Cinder has its own snapshot facility: https://docs.openstack.org/python-ope....

Or backup (which is not the same as a snapshot): https://docs.openstack.org/python-ope...

The user guide contains more information, but the documentation web site is currently undergoing major restructuring, and not all pages are available.

Not with the Cinder API, but you could use at or cron.
