Hi,

I am creating a volume of soze 25GB from Openstack dashboard and its failing with below error.

![Failed to run task cinder.scheduler.flows.create_volume.ScheduleCreateVolumeTask;volume:create: No valid backend was found. No weighed backends available]

in logs I see - scheduler.log

I see that I have 2 VG. But cinder is picking up the first one only.

In /etc/cinder/cinder.conf, you can check under [lvm] section to see which volume_group is used as lvm backend.

I dont see that variable in below section in /etc/cinder/cinder.conf

[lvm]
        volume_backend_name=lvm
        volume_driver=cinder.volume.drivers.lvm.LVMVolumeDriver
        iscsi_ip_address=10.211.2.191
        iscsi_helper=lioadm
        volumes_dir=/var/lib/cinder/volumes

But there is another variable as below.

# Name for the VG that will contain exported volumes (string value)
#volume_group = cinder-volumes

I was able to figure out the problem. The backend storage that cinder has taken is cinder-volumes which is of 20.6GB. So when I try to create the volume higher than that size it fails saying "Insufficient free space for volume creation".

Now the problem is i am not able to add the other lvm to increase the space. Can some one point to the documentation how to increase the volume size.

try to add this comment on /etc/cinder/cinder.conf [lvm] .. volume_backend_name= cinder-volumes

then service cinder-volume restart
