The docker-machine command expects the same authentication options as the various OpenStack CLIs. As for OpenStack CLIs, you can provide the values for those options on the command line or in environment variables.

The error message indicates that your authentication options are either incomplete or incorrect. Perhaps Scott Lowe's blog posts about using docker-machine will help.

thank you for your response , actually for the authentication options i use the exactly same admin-openrpc as mentioned in the documentation [ (] and verify usernane and password from the horizon dashbord

From, it appears that docker-machine uses TENANT instead of PROJECT. Could that be at the root of the problem?

i aded the option OS_TENANT_NAME=default instead of OS_TENANT_PROJECT=default in vaine. i checked nova-compute.log and there is the error bellow

ERROR oslo.messaging._drivers.impl_rabbit [-] AMQP server on controller:5672 is unreachable: [Errno 113] EHOSTUNREACH. Trying again in 8 seconds.

This can be a temporary situation when starting up, or a permanent problem. It's not clear to me how it affects authentication, but if it's a permanent problem, it needs fixing anyway. Is port 5672 on controller reachable?

By the way, can you successfully run any openstack commands like openstack token issue or openstack network agent list?
