In nova evacuate, instance get stuck at REBUILD status

in a 3 Node (1 Controller and 2 Compute Node) setup established using packstack. On running nova evacuate the instance gets stuck in REBUILD status.

I had faced the same issue but i worked with ubuntu. Resolved it by simply restarting the compute service.

On the compute node execute service nova-compute restart

After that, terminate the instance which is in build state. And reboot the instance.

So you simply restart your compute services on both the nodes .

Hope this will solve your issue.
