Hi guys,

I've just installed devstack using the following procedure https://docs.openstack.org/developer/devstack/index.html (https://docs.openstack.org/developer/...). Everything works fine through horizon, but I can't access the API through port 5000. After netstat I realised that apache2 server is not even listening on port 5000.

I then tried to install keystone and I it worked partially, i .e, I could then use the API but horizon was no longer working properly.

Do you have any idea about what's going on?

Thanks in advance.

The port 5000 for identity API seems a "common use" for Openstack (https://docs.openstack.org/mitaka/config-reference/firewalls-default-ports.html (mitaka docs)).

On Openstack Dashboard, in admin > system > system information, the keystone - identityURL is displayed => http://x.x.x.x/identity

Currently with last https://docs.openstack.org/devstack/latest/ (Openstack - devstack), you can retrieve a token with (using demo account):

curl --request POST --include --header "Content-Type: application/json" \
     --data '{"auth":{"identity":{"methods":["password"],"password":{"user":{"name":"demo","domain":{"name":"default"},"password":"theCorrectPassword"}}},"scope":{"project":{"name":"demo","domain":{"name":"default"}}}}}' \

--> HTTP/1.1 201 Created

Best regards
