Hi All,

I started with DevStack for testing and installed Packstack --all in one package for testing.

I have followed the below url to install the "all in one package"

https://www.rdoproject.org/install/quickstart/ (https://www.rdoproject.org/install/qu...)

My question here is, Does it suggested to use the packstack package for production.

Below are my infrastructure setup.

1, Controller node.

2, Compute node.

3, Network node.

4, Stroge node.

here is my answer file.

vi /root/answer.txt ........................................ CONFIG_CONTROLLER_HOST=192.168.1.30. CONFIG_COMPUTE_HOSTS=192.168.1.31. CONFIG_NETWORK_HOSTS=192.168.1.32. CONFIG_PROVISION_DEMO=n. CONFIG_CEILOMETER_INSTALL=n. CONFIG_HORIZON_SSL=y. CONFIG_NTP_SERVERS=<specify ntp="" server="" ip="" >.="" config_keystone_admin_pw="<Specify" new_password="">.

Red Hat OpenStack Platform is the recommended way of doing a production setup if you want to go with Red Hat enterprise subscription.

Packstack is no more supported by Red Hat

I think the packstack is not recommended for production. It seems that they use TripleO for CentOS and RedHat.

This is an ancient link for Red Hat OpenStack version 2. The current version is 11.

Since Newton RDO release packstack is no more able to split Controller and Storage Node.
They don't notice feeds from legal customers :-

You would better consider Mirantis as Openstack vendor.
