Hi,

We are currently installing openstack for our private cloud server. We have setup a packstack installation. We would like to go further with additional configuration such as ceph integration.

Currently we would like to have high availability on the server. Could you please suggest a method such that the VMs that are created through openstack installation gets to be in HA. The issue is we would like to have the VMs up even durring a server crash.

Any docs or supported urls are greatly appreciated.

Packstack was never able to build HA Controller's Cluster.

For instance HA, you should connect with the HA community. It seems that some work is underway.

Hi,

for implement High Availability in OpenStack installation there are a lots of consideration that you have to do before deploy it.

What I can suggest to you is to approciate to Mirantis Fuel deploy model (http://www.mirantis.com) that enable you to deploy a super HA and extensible installation of OpenStack.

Salvo.
