Hi there

anyone here is using the puppet-module for designate? I'm wondering about the difference how the puppet-module configures the authtoken-section inside the designate.conf instead the official guidline to implement the service. Also it doesn't have support for integration in neutron. No templates are included. And at last I didn't find anything to write a pool.yaml. So far, I am researching now what could be the best to deal with puppet to install and configure designate.

If you want to add custom neutron config in puppet you can always use the built in types they have to do it:

neutron_config { 'designate/allow_reverse_dns_lookup': value => true; }

thank you for your answer,

neutron_config {
'DEFAULT/external_dns_driver':
 value => 'designate';
'designate/url':
value => "http://${hiera('control_node')}:9001/v2";
'designate/admin_auth_url':
value => "http://${hiera('control_node')}:35357/v2.0";
'designate/admin_password':
value => hiera('neutron::keystone::auth::password');
'designate/admin_username':
value => 'neutron';
'designate/admin_tenant_name':
value => 'services';
'designate/allow_reverse_dns_lookup':
value => true;
'designate/ipv4_ptr_zone_prefix_size':
value => '24';
'designate/ipv6_ptr_zone_prefix_size':
value => '64';
}

It's not nice but an working workaround for neutron
