Code modification in multinode setup

Hi all, I am working on nova scheduling,i have multinode setup with one controller, one network and 3 compute nodes. I want to modify the existing code for filter scheduler. Is it possible in multinode environment. If so how can i proceed? pls do suggest some solutions. Thank you.

The nova scheduler normally only runs on the controller, so you just have to modify the code there. The general filter_scheduler code is in .../nova/scheduler/ (link to git), and individual filters are in the filters subdirectory.

Dear Bernd Bausch sir, i have followed your instructions and added some simple set of code. but when i restart nova scheduler it is giving error. what may be the issue or how to recompile after altering the code. pls let me know

If there is an error, something is wrong in your code. To have an idea what is wrong, I would need to know the error and perhaps also your code.

Watch out! modification of code can result with a lot of errors that are going to be hard to detect. There are software you can use in order to help you, such as checkmarx and others but it's still a lot of work so I recommend you to not do it often. Good luck!
